What's Happening at Magic Mountain Farm

We survived all of the cold, wind, snow and are rearing to go. The girls have gotten all of the horses out for the spring 'test drive' and we surely have the best horses in the whole world. Every one of them has been at the fence begging to go for a ride and when they got their turn they acted like they had been doing it every day all winter long. We are so proud of them and how even the young ones were well behaved.

Our trail ride program is growing rapidly and everyone is having a great time watching the mountain come to life with all of the trees budding and the birds chirping. We have had folks from all kinds of interesting places and some international 'trail riders'. We love sharing our mountain with all folks from all places and the horses love to meet all of the new people and take them for a ride!

Lessons are becoming popular and children and adults alike are having a great time learing all about the horses and how to stay on them. Everyone is looking forward to our new arena getting finished so they can work with obstacles and try new things.

We haven't scheduled any clinics or workships yet because we are still playing catch up from the winter. Plans are in the works for some Cowboy Cookouts and a few other interesting activities that we haven't quite decided on yet.

Give us a call and come on out for a visit!

Do you have a horse that you love to death and couldn't bear to part with....but.....he/she just isn't as respectful and willing to please as he was in the beginning. Maybe you have been thinking you need a new horse or that you need to send him/her to a trainer. A new horse that is a good replacement for one you really love is often hard to find and sometimes just the thought of sending your favorite 4 legged critter away from home is just scary. The answer to that is to learn some basic training techniques that you can use yourself to teach your horse the respect you want. We may do a spring clinic on these techniques or we can always work with you and/or you and horse one on one. Give us a call if you are interested.
Spring is here and we have been making plans for clinics and seminars that will be fun and interesting. If you have any ideas and would like to share them then just drop us a line.
