About Us
Since 1988, Bev and Lou Foltz have shared their farm and their beautiful herd of horses with the Winchester community. People come from near and far, but they always leave feeling like family. In some cases, they never leave. Jess has been a part of the Magic Mountain Farm family since 2011, starting as a lesson student, proudly serving her time as a barn rat, mentoring under Bev. Now she has taken on barn management as well as teaching horsemanship-based riding lessons, sharing the knowledge and experience she has gained over the years to aspiring horse enthusiasts.

Our Team
Jess
Riding Instructor
Jess has been working with horses at Magic Mountain since 2010. She has studied under many different instructors specializing in a variety of disciplines, including classical dressage, hunter jumper, western, and gaited riding. She attended Shepherd University, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology, which provided her with a deeper understanding of how people and animals learn at different stages in life. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, and caters her lessons to the riders' specific needs. Her goal is to teach her students to ride in a way that benefits both horse and rider, physically and mentally.
Makenna
Riding Instructor
Makenna started with us as a student when she was 8 years old, learning the basics of hunter jumper, classical dressage, and western trail riding. She went on to compete in hunter jumper and equitation with the Interscholastic Equestrian Association and is now enjoying training our young horses, along with teaching beginner lessons.
Bela
Trail Guide
Bela has been in the horse industry since 2016 and enjoys sharing her love of horses with our trail riding customers. She is loved by many for her welcoming personality and great sense of humor. She has extensively trail ridden horses and possesses the knowledge and experience to navigate any challenge that might arise with ease.
